Pikey Peak Trek is a newly started trekking trail in Khumbu region. It invites us to explore the view of Mount Everest and the lower Khumbu region. It also allows you to see beautiful sunrise and sunset views over the towering peaks of this region.

Pikey peak trek is one of the best short trek in Nepal to experience unique Sherpa culture and lifestyle. For those who don’t have time to do Everest base camp trek but wanted to see Mount Everest, this pikey base camp trek is the best option. Furthermore, the trek is also listed on your best treks in Nepal.

However, it is also possible to see a beautiful view of Mount Everest from Tengboche by doing just an Everest Mini trek, but nowadays most of the trekkers want to avoid crowed and wish to experience off-beaten trail trekking that why we came up with this Pikey peak trek.

Pikey peak is famous for its beautiful mountain views, tranquil landscapes, and unique Sherpa culture & hospitality. The lush valleys, old monasteries, massive Mani walls, beautiful vegetation and rhododendron forests are the major attractions of this trek. Furthermore, beautiful sunset and sunrise views from the Pikey peak is lifetime unforgettable memory.

You will get an opportunity to see the Mount Everest (8,848 m), Lhotse (8,414 m), and Makalu (8,463 m). Also, Annapurna, Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), and many other snow-covered peaks in super clean weather.

Day 1 :
Day 01: Drive to Dhap, Trek to Japre(2,915 m) - 12 hours.
<p>Early Morning we drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar. You can see the beautiful view of the SunKoshi, and Tama Koshi river from the window. We will pass through Okladhunga and Ghurmi with beautiful Rhododendron forests. Its an around 7 hours of drive from Kathmandu to Dhap Bazaar.</p><p>After arriving at Dhap Bazaar, we will start our trek to reach Jhapre. The trail is often dirty for around 2 hours until we reach Siganey village. And further 2 hours of the trek takes us to Jhapre at late at night. On the way, you can see Stupas and the superb view of the Khumbu region mountains including Mt. Everest so far and Number Himal.</p><p></p><p>Accommodation & Dinner Included</p>
Day 2 :
Day 02: Trek from Japre to Pikey Base Camp(3,640 m) - 7 hrs.
<p>After Jhapre, the trail rises through the silent and beautiful Rhododendron forest until we reach Bhulbhule village. Beautiful view of Everest range Himalayas also can be seen from here. From where the trail passes by some old yak houses, a large mani stone wall and a beautiful rhododendrons forested trail. It's around 7 hours of walk from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp.</p><p></p><p>Accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included</p>
Day 3 :
Day 03: Trek to Chaulakharka via Pikey Peak(2,920 m) - 6 hrs.
<p>Starting our trek early before the sunrise and climb uphill through the gradient and steep rises to Pikey Peak at an altitude of 4,065m. Prayer flags decorate the summit and view from the peak are breathtaking. Mt. Everest, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Dhaulagiri and other surrounding mountains can be seen from Pikey peak. If the weather is super clean, you will be rewarded with views from Annapurna to Kanchenjunga too. </p><p>After short excursion around the peak, we will back to base camp for breakfast and start our trek to reach Chaulakharka. You will be walking into the valley and descends through a pretty forest, cheese factory, the Gumba and a prayer wheel. Further, we will pass through the local village of Kosinasa and Lamane. After 5/6 hours of trek from base camp, we will reach Chaulakharka for overnight stay.</p><p></p><p>Accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included</p>
Day 4 :
Day 04: Trek from Chaulakharka to Shivalaya(2,840 m) - 6 hrs.
<p>Today's trail climbs up to the Deurali pass from Chaulakharka and then down to Shivalaya. Mostly a newly built motor road with specks of dust and dirt. Further walk from Shivalaya takes us to Jiri also. Shivalaya is the big village and famous village of Khumbu region. It's around 7 hours of walk from Chaulakhraka to Shivalaya.</p><p>Accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included</p>
Day 5 :
Day 05: Drive from Shivalaya to Kathmandu(1,400 m) - 12 hrs.
<p>Today we will take the 7 hours bus drive back to Kathmandu via Charikot and Mudu.</p><p></p><p>Breakfast Included</p>
