Mardi Himal trek is of the best short trek from Pokhara, popular nowadays as being the best alternative for Annapurna base camp trek. The trek was officially opened in 2012 and is still less famous then other trials of Annapurna region. Day 1 :
Day 01: Tourist bus drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. 6-7 hours.
<p>Today you will take an early morning(6:00 AM) regular tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. (as an option for more comfortable and also to skip one day, you can take a 20 minute's flight to Pokhara).</p><p></p><p>Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can rest for a while and then wander around the Lakeside streets or do fun activities such as boating, Street walking, shopping, cycling or anything you want. Day 2 :
Day 02: Drive to Kade & trek to Forest Camp(2,555m). 6-7 hours.
<p>We will take an hour drive to reach Kade to start the trek, After an hour of trekking from Kade to Australian Camp (2060m) and then Deurali. You will leave the crowded trails of the Annapurna Sanctuary and head towards Forest Camp. </p><p>This part of the path is quieter which passes through the beautiful, lush green jungle and colorful rhododendron and other sub-alpine flowers. Day 3 :
Day 03: Trek from Forest Camp to High Camp(3,980m). 7-8 hours.
<p>Today we will again trek through the beautiful forest with moss, lichen, and ferns with trees. After further an hour of a trek from Low Camp, the trail reaches out above the treeline. You will get your first, apparent sightings of the magnificent mountains like Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.</p><p>From Badal danda, you leave the tree line and enter the alpine zone. You will be walking mainly on grasslands until you will reach High Camp. Day 4 :
Day 04: Trek from High Camp to Mardi Himal base camp & trek down to Siding(1,700m). 7-8 hours.
<p>Early morning we will start our trek to Mardi Himal base camp, our major destination of this trek. It takes around 5 hours to reach the Mardi Base Camp from high camp. At the base camp, we will enjoy the beautiful nature, and the view from base camp is excellent. </p><p>After spending some time there exploring the Himalayas and snowy landscapes we will descend back to Siding. It's around 4 hours of a bit steep and slippery descent trial. The flat trail takes you into a beautiful traditional village of Siding. Day 5 :
Day 05: Trek down to Lumre & Drive back to Pokhara. 5-6 hours.
<p>The last day of our trek, we will trek down to Lumre from where we can find a jeep ride back to Pokhara. It is around an hour’s drive from Lumre to Pokhara.</p><p></p><p>Breakfast & Hotel in Pokhara Included</p>
Day 6 :
Day 13: Tourist bus drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu. 7-8 hours.
