Rara Lake Trek offers a cultural and picturesque experience in Far North West of Mugu district, Nepal. The lake is deepest Lake in Nepal Himalaya of 10.8 sq km at an altitude 2,990 meter.

Rara Lake Trek begins with a scenic flight to Nepalgunj and then taking another short trip to Jumla.
This trek takes you to the snow-capped mountain views and leads you through open forest. This trek puts you to walk in an off-the-beaten trail and enjoy the gifts of nature.

At the lake, you can see the reflection of mighty and majestic Himalayas overlooking at you. The nearby region of the lake is made of one thousand and seventy-four species of flowers and is house to fifty-one species of mammals and two hundred fourteen kinds of birds. The trip to Rara Lake Trekking also means a tour to the region of the wildlife tour with medicinal plants.

The hill gatherings the lake is not only beautiful but also different than other treks in Nepal. The bright, high altitude lake mirrors the snow-capped Himalayas ringed with blue pine, black juniper forest.

You can see the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Dolpo, Kanjirowa and the Tibetan Mountains from the Lake.

Day 1 :
Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Surkhet by Night Bus -13 hours.
<p>A night bus drive from New bus park of Kathmandu to Surkhet is a long journey of around 13 hours. The bus will leave at 6 PM evening and reach Surkhet in the Early Morning around 7 AM. There are no regular tourist buses so that we will need to take a local public bus to go Surkhet. Overnight at Bus. </p>
Day 2 :
Day 02: Drive to Kalikot/Manma -8 hours.
<p>Arriving morning at Surkhet, after having breakfast & being fresh, we will take another bus drive from Surkhet to Kalikot or Manma. It's also 7-8 hours of a long journey. Overnight at Local Hotel.</p><p></p><p>Accommodation Included</p>
Day 3 :
Day 03: Drive to Gamghadi or Talcha Airport - 6 hours.
<p>After breakfast, further drive from Manma to Gamghadi takes us to near the Beautiful Rara lake. There is a local airport in Talcha at Ghamghadi. Overnight at local Guesthouse.</p><p></p><p>Accommodation & Breakfast Included</p>
Day 4 :
Day 04: Trek to Rara Lake, Explore the lake. - 2 hours.
<p>Early Morning heading to Rara Lake, explore the lake, visit around and take a short hike to Murma village and back to Rara lake at evening. Overnight at a hotel near the lake.</p><p></p><p>Accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included</p>
Day 5 :
Day 05: Trek down to Talcha &  Drive to Jumla Khalanga Bajar. - 7 hours.
<p>Today early morning trek down to the Ghamghadi and after having breakfast take a drive to Jumla Khalanga Bazaar. It is around 7 hours of bus journey from Ghamghadi to Jumla. Overnight at local Guesthouse.</p><p></p><p>Breakfast & Accommodation Included</p>
Day 6 :
Day 06: Drive back to Surkhet. - 7 hours.
<p>Today we will take another drive back to Surkhet; it's around 7 hours of the ride takes us to Surkhet. Overnight at local Guesthouse.</p><p></p><p>Breakfast & Accommodation Included</p>
Day 7 :
Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu. - 13 hours.
<p>The last day of the trip you will be driven back to Kathmandu, the same road we drove before, 13 hours of long drive journey from Surkhet to Kathmandu.</p>
