Manaslu Circuit Trekking used to be untouched trekking trail of Nepal, where only a few used to trek. But nowadays its also one of the famous and more traveled the best trek of Nepal.
Manaslu is the eighth highest peaks in the world with an elevation of at 8,163 m. The trek route is in the western part of Nepal.
The trek starts after a long day drive from Soti Khola, and the trek follows the trail to the highest point, Larkya pass at (5160 m.). And continue trekking down to Tal and from where we can take a drive to Kathmandu. On the way, you will cross beautiful villages of Macchakhola, Philim, Ghap, Lho, Namrung, Samagaun, Samdo, Dharmasala, Bhimtang, etc.
Himalayan landscapes and the trek offers excellent views of some of the highest mountains in the world. The magnificent views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayas reward you on the trek.
Furthermore, the Manaslu circuit trekking also offers dreamy glacier lakes, natural scenery, beautiful rhododendron forests, ancient monasteries, cultural heritage, and traditional lifestyle.
A breathtaking view of by Cheo Himal, Himlung Himal, Nemjung, Gyaji Kang and Kang Guru, can be seen during the trek.
<p>Today we will take early morning drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola. Although the road will be quite dirty and bumpy, you will catch the best landscape views from your window seat. The landscapes of the rice fields, waterfalls, and greenery through the villages are amazing to watch. Overnight at Guesthouse in Soti Khola.</p><p></p>
<p>The way from Soti Khola to Machha Khola is considerably rocky and small. The charming countryside views will keep you interested throughout the trail with your fantastic walk.</p><p></p><p>You will follow the trails with many rivers, waterfalls, forests, towering hills and the beautiful villages of the region. The tropical vegetation adds beauty as you cross magnificent suspension bridges to reach Machha Khola. Overnight in Machha Khola.</p>
<p>Today, you will start trekking across the road on the bank of Burdi Gandaki river until you will reach Tatopani' hot water'. You can take warm baths and relax your body. After boiling water leisure, you will cross a new suspension bridge over Bhurdi Gandaki river to reach Doban. </p><p></p><p>After cross a long cantilever bridge at Yaru you will reach Jagat, a beautiful Gurung village. There is a checkpoint to check the permit because, From this day, you will be walking in the restricted area of Manaslu region. Overnight at Jagat.</p>
<p>Today's trail is beautiful with unique images over the rocks on the river bank formed due to river water — the walk through forests of rhododendron, Himalayan pine and the overhanging rocks on the towering peaks. After crossing Ekle Bhatti, and we will take a gradual climb above Budhi Gandaki Gorge to reach Deng. Overnight in Deng.</p><p></p>
<p>After crossing Budi Gandaki River's suspension bridge, and climbing Rana, and Bihi we will continue via the Serang Khola. Further walk towards north of the river, takes you to Ghap. The Mani walls here present delicate carvings of various Buddhas in meditation. </p><p></p><p>Further crossing a beautiful forest with many birds, cross north on a wooden bridge along a narrow canyon. Arrive in the picturesque village of Namrung after about two hours climb up from Ghap. Overnight in Namrung.</p>
<p>The trail from Namrung goes through the beautiful small barley fields and stone houses with impressive mountain views. From Lihi, you can encounter the 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains, including Mount Manaslu (8,163m). </p><p></p><p>And cross Hinang Khola and visit large Gompa at Lho village on the way to Shyala. After Crossing Shyala and Punggen Glacier, you will reach Sama Gaon. Sama Gaon is a most beautiful village, of Manaslu circuit trek. Furthermore the breathtaking views the Manaslu Range can be seen from Sama Gaon. Overnight in Sama Gaon.</p>
<p>Today is the rest day in Sama Gaon to get acclimatized and relax the body from daily high altitude walks. </p><p></p><p>You can spend the day exploring the surroundings of Sama village and visit Birendra Tal, Manaslu Base Camp, Pema Chyoling Lhakang, and Punggen Gompa. Overnight in Sama Gaon.</p>
<p>Today we will walk uphill of Birendra Tal (3,450m) and the Manaslu Glacier. The walk through extended yak pastures up a broad valley with long mani walls and a variety of birds are worth taking a slow step. After crossing white Kani we will reach Samdo village.</p><p>If you reach early, you can explore the nearby villages or take a short hike to Samdo Peak. Overnight in Samdo.</p>
<p>Descend past Samdo on a full trail, sinking to cross the Budhi Gandaki River. Pass the path to Tibet to the right and climb left past a Mani wall, and juniper forests to reach Dharamsala. </p><p></p><p>The village is also known as Larke Phedi. Dharamsala is a beautiful village that offers the best views of the whole of the Manaslu Himal Range. Overnight in Dharamsala.</p>
<p>This is a special day as you will walk to the essential point of the trek, Larkya La Pass. Today's climb is long and goes through rocky terrain. Descend past four frozen lakes and do a final climb up to Larkya La (5160m), marked by prayer flags. </p><p></p><p>From the top of the pass, you can view an astonishing panorama of Manaslu Himal Range, Himlung, Tibet, Kang Guru, and Annapurna Range. Afterward, you incline down to the west, for around 3 hours towards Bimthang. Overnight in Bimthang.</p>
<p>The last day of the trek, you will walk down through the lush forests full of flora and fauna, including rhododendron bushes until Tilije. From there, you will continue your walk towards Dharapani and then to Tal.</p><p></p>
<p>After finishing your trek in Manaslu today, you will take a 7-8 hours long bus drive back from Tal to Kathmandu. </p><p></p>
