In Nepal, the pristine blue and green water of Gokyo Lake is one of the most beautiful sights you will be seeing. It is the highest freshwater lake system in the world. Gokyo lake trek is a quiet trekking route in Nepal.
If you want to avoid the busier trail in Everest region, this is an entirely a good choice. This trek provides the opportunity to view the panoramic view of Mt Everest, the world tallest Mountain. You will also be able to learn the rich culture of Sherpa.
We will be starting our Gokyo lake trek from Lukla. We will take the standard way to Lukla which is by flight. We will be moving towards Dudh Kosi, a river which flows from the highest peak. We will head to Monjo later on.
On the way up, we will pass the Mani walls. The stone structures are a compilation of stone structures. As we moved on to Namche Bazaar, we will pass through the gates of the Sagarmatha National Park.
As we continue our journey of Gokyo lake trek, we will go through a section of red birch, fir, and dwarf rhododendron forest. We will be able to view the sight of a waterfall that flows from Taweche and Cholatse. Finally, we will reach Gokyo. You will be able to have unforgettable memories in this adventurous trek.
